All markets start very broad with hundreds or thousands of little niche opportunities to sell products and/or services hidden within. Your first step is to find that niche market online and pin-point the correct keywords or keyword phrases that will be profitable for you (Note: keywords or keyword phrases are the words that real people actually type into the major search engines when hunting for information and/or products, your website just has to be user friendly and located where they can easily find and use it).
Did you know that 93% of all keyword targeting within the major search engines is a waste of time and energy? This accounts for why there are so many online marketing failures. When you enter into the research and learn the tool you need for this research you will be able to determine where your target market is... Find people with money actually wanting to spend it with you as you are now the authority online. Personally, I would rather have 30 visitors per day who are ready to buy, than have 300 people who are just "Kicking the tires". or "Window shopping" so to speak. However, you will learn how to stay in touch with those window shoppers, help educate them, and eventually turn some of them into buyers in the future.
Here is your first lesson on having the "Mind of a Marketer"...
